  • Harrington Bottling, the Pepsi bottling plant located in Butte, Montana, has implemented smart card technology from LEGIC Identsystems Ltd., Chicago, for integrated time-and-attendance and for access control.

  • Carrefour, Europe's largest retailer, has selected digital radio frequency technology from Checkpoint Systems Inc., Thorofare, N.J., as part of an aggressive source-tagging program to help reduce shrink.

  • Wansbeck District Council in London has deployed the intelligent Security Operations Center (iSOC) platform from DVTel Inc., Ridgefield Park, N.J., to increase security and management effectiveness across three towns in the district. The District Council employs a significant number of cameras over the IP network to cover a 16-mile area.

  • Amarillo City Transit (ACT) has selected a networked video solution from Verint Systems Inc., Melville, N.Y., to enhance security on its fleet of 23 buses that operate on fixed routes covering more than 50 square miles of Amarillo, Texas.
