Security consultants association elects slate of officers at annual meeting
The International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC) elected new officers at its annual meeting, held in April in Santa Fe, N.M. Marc Bradshaw, president and CEO of Marcus Group Ltd., was elected president. David Aggleton, president of Aggleton and Associates, was elected vice president. Richard Grassie, president of Techmark Security Integration, was elected treasurer. John L. Currie, executive director and principal consultant at SAF Consulting International, was elected secretary.
Stan Kunka has been appointed president and CEO of Siemens Building Technologies, Buffalo Grove, Ill. Kunka replaces Tom Malott who has retired.
Roger Wiggs will retire as group chief executive of Securicor, effective December 31, 2001. Wiggs will remain as a non-executive director with special responsibility for Securicor's investments, including its joint venture with Deutsche Post. Nick Buckles, currently chief executive of the security division, will succeed Wiggs as group chief executive.
Jeff Fortunat has joined PPM 2000, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, as director of sales.
Marshall Munroe has joined Kalatel, Corvallis, Ore., to manage its retail business development.
Motion Media Technology, Wilmington, N.C., a provider of video telephony products, appointed Garey De Angelis as CEO of the company's new U.S. subsidiary, Motion Media Technology Inc. He will be responsible for directing all North, Central, and South American operations, including product development, sales and marketing, business development, and customer support at the new company headquartered in Wilmington, NC.
Jeff Hansen has joined Virtual Security Technologies, Lakeville, Minn., as vice president of business development and sales.
InfoGraphic Systems, Garden Grove, Calif., has chosen Tony Wilson as director of special projects. He will lead the development of the DIAMOND II enterprise access control system.
The False Alarm Reduction Association (FARA), Rockville, Md., announced its new officers at its annual conference held in Kansas City, Mo. James Cogswell of the Leawood, Kan., Police Department was elected first vice president. Amy Lobdell of the Portland, Ore., Police Department and Michele Johnson of the Toledo, Ohio, Police Department were elected at-large directors. Kathleen Schraufnagel of Brink's Home Security will serve as associate director. Cogswell also won the Member of the Year award and Schraufnagel won associate member of the year.
Allied Security, King of Prussia, Pa., has promoted Steven Heaney to vice president of business development for Southern California. (We regret that the company name was incorrectly reported in our April issue.)
