Pass Security subsidiary Virtual Security Technologies, St. Louis, is offering U.S. systems integrators the opportunity to sell Virtual Vision technology. Dealers will be provided with training and support programs for the system, which uses image-recognition technology to detect intruders.

PerkinElmer Inc., Woburn, Mass., a supplier of X-ray systems and metal detectors, will sell its Detection Systems business.

Panasonic Security Systems Group, Secaucus, N.J., has introduced an online service called Panasonic Business Link to provide dealers and distributors with access to information such as order status, new products, product availability and marketing bulletins. Fiber Options, Bohemia, N.Y., has appointed Burhans-Burhans, Elk Grove Village, Ill., as manufacturer's representative for its security product line in the following states: Illinois, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Security Lock, Texarkana, Texas, has partnered with HID Corp., Irvine, Calif., to provide its customers with HID products for access control, personal identification, asset protection and management, material handling and other control applications.

Edison Intl., Rosemead, Calif., will sell its Edison Select subsidiary to ADT Security Systems Inc., Elkridge Md. Edison Select primarily provides residential security.

Samsung CCTV, Secaucus, N.J., will distribute ActiveTag and Prism Video technology produced by Axcess Inc., Dallas. Samsung will also implement Axcess' video compression and transmission technology into its dome camera line.

Fastcom Technology, Lausanne, Switzerland, and Securiton, Switzerland, have agreed to develop a new line of smoke and fire detection systems built around automatic, video-based event-detection technology. The technology is designed to monitor large halls, tunnels, power plants and outdoor facilities.

Allied Security, Orange, Calif., was distinguished as a Governor's Award recipient for Employer of the Year by the California Employment Development Department. The honor comes one year after Allied enacted a recruitment program to employ a number of American veterans as security officers.
