Keyscan Proximity/Keypad Reader
Sep 3, 2008 9:55 AM
Keyscan’s dual-purpose K-KPR Proximity Reader/Keypad supports proximity and/or PIN identification. For proximity card authentication, the reader uses RFID technology and is HID-compatible (125 kHz). For PIN authentication, the continuously illuminated five-key keypad employs soft blue backlighting for nighttime visibility. Tactile design on the keypad face includes raised numerals and a ‘pip’ on the five key to assist visually impaired users. Dual proximity and PIN verification provide higher security for applications requiring an extra layer of protection. The reader is protected in an epoxy potting, suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
