REI Telephone/Line Analyzer
Oct 1, 2007 9:25 AM
The TALAN telephone and line analyzer from Research Electronics International (REI) provides users with a suite of tools to analyze, inspect and test their digital and analog telephone lines as well as other wiring for taps and eavesdropping devices. The system performs common telephone line tests such as voltage, current, resistance and capacitance tests. In addition, the system uses Line Non-Linear Junction Detection (NLJD), which identifies any electronics attached to the wire; Frequency Domain Reflectometery (FDR) to check for taps; and Digital Demodulation to confirm that the telephone line is not passing audio. An automated switching matrix performs tests automatically on all pair combinations. The system’s Multi-Test Database System enables users to store data multiple tests in a database for comparison against other lines. Visit securitysolutions.com/productinfo or reiusa.net.
