Plug-and-Go Ethernet Switch –- CBL Systems
Jan 3, 2007 4:07 PM
The Quasar Smart Switch system from CBL Systems is designed to provide a self-managed optical Gigabit switch for Ethernet applications. Appliances connect with the network through three RJ-45 ports, and the system adapts by auto-negotiating to 10/100/1000 Mbps based on the appliance’s requirements. The single-fiber system is compatible with both single and multi-mode cable without a need for new hardware. The supplier’s accompanying software adds a sense-and-control capability to the network.
