Wireless Ethernet Systems from AvaLAN Wireless
Aug 22, 2007 9:22 AM
AvaLAN Wireless offers the industrial-grade 900 MHz AW900T and the 5.8 GHz AW5800T non-line-of-sight wireless Ethernet systems. Both are available in indoor, outdoor and OEM module versions. They create a point-to-multipoint system configuration in which a single radio acts as the access point. Up to 16 subscriber units can be mated to a single access point, and up to 12 access points for the 900 MHz system or 58 access points for the 5.8 GHz system can be installed. The resulting scalable architecture can support more than 1,000 Ethernet devices site-wide. The systems can replace data-rate installations where 802.11 systems are underperforming due to insufficient range or excessive interference. Visit avalanwireless.com.
