The PureActiv Scene Analyzer from ICx Vision Systems is an edge device that transforms analog security cameras into wired or wireless vision sensors with video analytics. Its standalone design enables it to read, evaluate, record and react to digital and/or analog video feeds for motion of interest without user intervention. Embedded software stabilizes the video image to remove camera and vibration effects while isolating threats from nuisance objects, such as shadows and tree movements. When connected to a pan/tilt/zoon (PTZ) camera, the device can perform a “smart tour” function, whereby it can direct the camera to stop to analyze various scenes for different objects and behaviors. Other features include object-tracking, the ability to send reports to an existing surveillance system and an onboard integration capability for use with fence detection systems, gates, locks, lights and local alarms.
