NEC’s Express5800/320Ma Fault Tolerant (FT) servers can reduce the amount of system downtime to approximately five minutes or less per year to ensure business continuity for mission critical business operations. The servers offer 99.999 percent continuous availability for disaster recovery support. Three configurations are offered, including a fault tolerant dual-core processor, to provide users with a high-availability system for complete redundancy in the event of a major disaster. Users can also employ NEC’s ExpressCluster Disaster Recovery (DR) software to protect systems from catastrophic events by connecting two FT servers hundreds of miles apart. The software's FastSync feature provides critical journaling capabilities, which can minimize database re-synchronization time, allowing for shorter recovery time on the FT servers. System upgrades, such as patches, service packs and applications, can be applied without rebooting using the server’s Active Upgrade technology. Various server rollback capabilities ensure step-by-step data protection. Visit necam.com.
