GuardTrax SFL (Security Force Locator), developed by NovaTracker, is a real-time personal GPS tracking device for field personnel. The system enables security supervisors and managers to track, monitor and manage their field security forces in real-time at all times. It uses a sensitive GPS antenna combined with internal GSM wireless communication to move critical location and activity data to a server platform. The data is then integrated into Web-interfaced GIS mapping and satellite imagery software, creating a virtual window that supervisors and managers can use to view the activities of security personnel. The system includes an incident reporting function that uses a multi-function button coding system to enable personnel to key in event number codes. It also has the capability to dial four pre-defined phone numbers in the event of an emergency. A “geo-fence breach” alert notifies personnel if the device is taken into or out of a pre-defined area. Incidents and events are reported through SMS (short message service) or e-mail messages to any number of recipients. The unit weighs 6 oz. and measures approximately 2 in. x 6 in.
