Videoalarm PolEvator
Mar 25, 2008 10:20 AM
Videoalarm’s PolEvator offers a more economical method of installing and servicing pole-mounted camera systems. Now available in three models, the unit allows one technician to service and repair pole-mounted domes and housings using only a drill and a drill bit. The pole operates on a lubricated lowering system and can accommodate other devices in addition to cameras, such as lighting units. The pole is constructed of extruded aluminum with a black powder coat finish, is weatherproof and can withstand winds of up to 110 mph. Cost-savings is a notable benefit of the system, as users can realize a yearly savings of $1,510, according to Videoalarm representatives. Contributing to the savings estimate are costs associated with bucket truck rentals, the hiring of technicians, slow response times, training requirements and administrative costs.
