The CardTechSecurTech (CTST) Conference, scheduled for May 15-17 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, will feature a keynote luncheon and book signing with former FBI director Louis Freeh on May 15th.
During a time of dramatic changes in crime, terrorism and national security, Freeh is heralded for transforming the FBI from a law-enforcement agency to a global security institution. In his eight-year tenure, he took the lead in keeping the FBI at the forefront of investigative techniques, particularly in the use of advanced technologies to fight the evolving area of cybercrime.
In his address, Freeh will offer compelling expertise and counsel on confronting the security and privacy issues facing the world today, and on some of the most recent government initiatives to make U.S. borders safer. He will recount his efforts to reform, fortify and strengthen the FBI while ensuring its freedom from political interferences.
After his keynote, Freeh will participate in a signing for the book that was inspired by these experiences, "My FBI: Bringing Down the Mafia, Investigating Bill Clinton, and Fighting the War on Terror."
The keynote presentation, open to CTST conference attendees, will take place during a special lunch, from noon to 1:45 p.m., on May 15th, following the Card Technology Breakthrough Awards. The book signing will follow from 3- 3:30 p.m.
