Security-related industry events ISC-East and Infosecurity New York, scheduled for Oct, 24-25, have announced each show will be co-located at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York.
Infosecurity NY delivers an audience of 3,000 IT security professionals and is an established east coast IT security event. The co-location's primary goal is to deliver an encompassing security industry gathering that offers solutions and technologies across both the physical and IT security sectors.
The addition of the Infosecurity New York event will allow ISC-East to focus on the core physical security disciplines, while offering Industry professionals a wider, more diverse base of security solutions and products.
"The issue of convergence within the physical security industry is a big priority for manufacturers and dealer/integrators alike as we found at the recently successful ISC-West event. The co-location of Infosecurity New York truly provides added value to ISC-East by providing a crossover audience of IT security professionals that are becoming more and more involved in the physical security buying process" says Dean Russo, group vice president of ISC Events.
"Our audience of IT security professionals has been looking for an effective industry resource that would address the issue of convergence while offering real-world solutions," adds Scott Temple, vice president of Infosecurity New York.
Industry shifts have resulted in the merging of physical and IT security protocols though convergence, data integration and Internet protocols. ISC's education program aims to address these issues to enable both physical and IT security professionals to learn from each other.
