NSCA Expo to feature the latest in fire and life safety

This year's NSCA Expo in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center on March 15-17 will play host to practical, real-world audio experiences provided by live demonstration rooms. In addition, the expo will feature a new exhibitor area called "Tools of the Trade," which is dedicated to showcasing and demonstrating essential items for every system integrator's toolbox.
Found off the main show floor, the demo rooms will allow manufacturers to turn up the volume and let their products speak for themselves without infringing upon their neighbor's right to do the same, this thanks to the Expo's policy of staggering demonstrations between adjoining rooms on the hour.
Prior to developing the Tools of the Trade exhibit concept, NSCA surveyed its members about what they were looking for in terms of problem-solving devices for everyday installation work. The association then went out and found manufacturers providing the solutions to these problems, and invited them to this year's Expo.
"We hand-picked the exhibitors for the Tools of the Trade area," NSCA Executive Director Chuck Wilson says of the process leading up to the debut of the new exhibit. "Our goal was to bring in some new exhibitors and highlight some existing ones that can demonstrate new techniques and tactics that will expedite work on the job site. Those invited included manufacturers of test equipment and other labor-saving devices that attendees might not have heard of before, but once discovered, will become essential to their toolbox."
Additionally, the Drunk Unkles All-Star Blues Band featuring the musical stylings of industry members Felix Robinson (Angel), "Uncle" Steve Emspak (Aerosmith songsmith), Marc Hochlerin (Mazarin), Mike "The Pie" Phillips, Johnny "Bottom" Cardone and the glamorous "Aunt Mimi" Kaplan, will be taking the stage on Friday, March 16, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., at Howl at the Moon Orlando, 8815 International Drive. This event is open to all badged NSCA Expo attendees; entrance is free.
