PSA Security Network recently honored those vendors who, in 2005, furnished PSA and its members with the finest services, support and products.

Altronix, AMAG Technology, CSC, Dedicated Micros and Pelco took the top prize, the Superstar Award. Bosch, deView Electronics, HID Corp., Network Video Technologies (NVT) and Securitron were honored with the Star Award.

Aiphone, Security Lock Distributors, Talk-A-Phone and Ultra Electronics each earned the Rising Star Award and deView Electronics was the inaugural recipient of the Outstanding New Vendor Award.

The Vendor Achievement Award Program (VAAP) was created to acknowledge PSA vendor partners who provide PSA with outstanding service and quality products.
Winning vendors were selected based on achieving high scores on a survey completed by PSA members and PSA customer service staff. Scoring was based on eight performance categories: technical support, price advantage, responsiveness, ship dates, return authorizations, local rep support, product quality and reliability and overall improvement.

During the banquet, which was held May 12, 2006, at the Pheasant Run Resort and Spa in St. Charles, Ill., several individuals were also recognized for their outstanding commitment to customer service.

They include Zonoe Jalomo and Heather Pancoast, AMAG Technology; Tan Gutierrez, CSC; Jerry King, HID Corp.; Janice Gomes, Elva Romero and Christina Goossen, Pelco; Arthur Johnson, Security Lock Distributors; Frankie Lesell, TransTech; Becky Prince, Bosch Security Systems; and Penny Pumphrey, Dedicated Micros.

The Manufacturers' Representative Award went to Mike Taylor of AMAG Technology.
