SIA announces New Product Showcase winners

The Security Industry Association (SIA) has named Capture OmniScape as "Best in Show" at the the 2006 New Product Showcase (NPS) program, held April 6 in Las Vegas.
Other New Product Showcase winners were:
* Achievement Award for Honorable Mention given to Tyco/American Dynamics for its American Dynamics Intellex Ultra.
* Product Achievement Award for Access Control given to Sargent for its Profile Series v.N1.
* Product Achievement Award for Biometrics given to A4 Vision for its Vision Access 3D Face Reader.
* Product Achievement Award for CCTV Video Device given to Panasonic for its WJ-ND300.
* Product Achievement Award for CCTV Video Controller/System given to Network Video Technologies for its Power Supply Cable Integrator -- NV-16PS10-PVD.
* Product Achievement Award for Digital Video Device given to Axis Communications for its AXIS 214 PTZ Network Camera.
* Product Achievement Award for Digital Video Controller/System given to 3VR Security for its OpCenter 4.0.
* Product Achievement Award for False Alarm Reduction given to Bosch for its Easy Series.
* Product Achievement Award for Fire Detection/Prevention given to Bosch for its FCP-500.
* Product Achievement Award for Integrated Systems given to MDI Security for its Advanced Security Link with ONE Technology.
* Product Achievement Award for Intrusion Detection/Prevention given to UltraVision Security Systems for its CMD1.
* Product Achievement Award for Monitoring given to DSC for its SG-System II.
* Product Achievement Award for Peripherals given to Cernium for its CheckVideo.
* Product Achievement Award for Residential Systems given to Cyrex for its MC750.
* Product Achievement Award for Software given to SAM Systems for its SAM Intelligent IP Video System.
* Product Achievement Award for Wireless given to NAPCO for its Freedom F8 Code Free Alarm System.
* Judge's Choice Award given to 3VR Security for its OpCenter 4.0.
Ninety-four new products and services were entered into this program, which was established more than a decade ago to identify and showcase innovation in electronic security products and services.
