GE Security Hosts MASterMind Proprietary Users Forum
Nov 20, 2007 2:47 PM
GE Security Inc. has announced that it recently held its first MASterMind Proprietary Users Forum for enterprise customers operating their own private monitoring solutions. The event, held in conjunction with the ASIS International Seminar and Expo in Las Vegas, was the first in an ongoing series of activities that will provide direct collaboration between end-users in key markets and the GE MASterMind team to deliver enhanced value and operational efficiencies.
The event was attended by 45 proprietary users of the MASterMind monitoring software in the retail, financial and education markets, including Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase, Fifth Third Bank, National City Bank, Food Lion, FedEx and Clark County School District.
"We continue to invest in the MASterMind platform to deliver new, innovative applications to benefit customers across a range of industries and are especially excited about the collaborations such as this one in Las Vegas," says Dean Seavers, president and chief executive officer, GE Security. "This is a great example of GE Security's commitment to partnering with customers and end users to develop integrated solutions that are purpose-built to meet their unique security challenges."
"The MASterMind forum was hugely beneficial and gave me the opportunity to hear from other users to see and hear how they use the different applications," says Jeff Gardner, manager of central monitoring station (CMS) operations for Wells Fargo. "I really hope this forum continues and grows so that we can continue to learn from each other and provide feedback to you to improve the software."
In addition to several collaborative sessions, GE Security demonstrated enhancements in the latest release of MASterMind 6.22.01 across the Monitoring, Business and Web software platforms that are designed to help proprietary customers improve operational efficiencies and integrate their intrusion, access and video security systems, on one platform.
Existing MASterMind customers, including JP Morgan Chase and National City Bank, presented and shared how they use MASterMind in their proprietary environments.
GE Security also announced the addition of MASterMind engineering and support staff to focus on proprietary customer challenges and the alignment to the new Integration Software Platforms Team, responsible for integrating software across all security platforms to better position MASterMind to deliver improved, simplified solutions.
In a post-event survey of attendees, the majority of respondents said that reliability, open-architecture and scalability are among the most important features in a security event and alarm management software platform. The majority rated MASterMind's capability in each of those areas as very good or excellent.
MASterMind's integrated and scalable solution is deployed by security firms, call centers, financial institutions, retailers and school districts on six continents. The MASterMind platform offers standard connections to a wide range of video, intrusion and access control systems and also manages virtually all related back-office applications including accounting, billing, lead tracking, service and installation scheduling along with other critical infrastructure needs.
Based on the success of the first event, GE Security plans to hold the MASterMind Proprietary Users Forum again in September 2008. In addition, the full MASterMind Users Conference for all customers will be held in April 2008 in Hollywood, Calif.
