The system is a real-time facial surveillance and identification system capable of handling unlimited camera inputs and database sizes. ADT will begin marketing the system within its Federal Systems and Aviation Division.
"ADT has a significant number of immediate opportunities requiring the delivery of facial recognition technology over multi-camera networks," said Paul Brisgone, vice president of ADT’s Federal Systems and Aviation Division.
"[The partnership] is an important new channel that will greatly assist in our ability to support demand from federal government agencies and airports for FaceIt technology," added Dr. Joseph Atick, chairman and CEO of Visionics.
ATC Biometric Technologies, Miami, has announced FaceIt technology will be installed and implemented for use in Boston’s Logan Airport. Once installed, the FaceIt system will have a 90-day trial period to enhance its effectiveness.
