ASTM International, a standards development firm, is calling for submissions for its "Symposium on Building Security in an Age of Terrorism," sponsored by the ASTM Committee F12 on Security Systems and Equipment. The symposium will be held Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, in Washington, D.C.
The objective of the symposium is to bring together researchers, designers and specifiers in order to foster a dialogue, thus providing each with an understanding of the current state of knowledge concerning building security. In addition, the symposium will focus attention on new security standards, testing and software that can be used in the design process.
