ASTM International has invited security-industry architects, manufacturers, product designers, testers, government reps and other security professionals to help them develop Homeland Security standards.

ASTM has formed a subcommittee that will work with The Infrastructure Security partnership (TISP), a consortium established by the U.S. Office of Homeland Security. TISP includes the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and more than 80 other public and private organizations with the goal of creating Homeland Security standards and policies.

The subcommittee plans to discuss construction and renovation in airports, government and industrial facilities; blast-resistant products; and physical and electronic security systems. To participate, e-mail Dale Kostner of ASTM at dale.kostner@jacbobs.com
