The mail firewall appliance can be deployed between internal mail servers and the Internet. It supports standard mail protocols for processing e-mail messages, and is generally configured to accept all mail for domain or sub-domain, to store and process mail according to the specified policies, and then deliver the mail to one or more internal mail servers for collection by users.
