The company said it identified 34 military sites where network security was easily compromised, The AP reports. The company reportedly used software to identify vulnerable computers and looked at confidential files within them.
Unfortunately, the San Diego firm violated federal law with the unauthorized intrusion and their offices were raided. A company spokesperson told The AP, his goal was to call attention to the need for better security.
