After establishing a Homeland Security research center, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has developed a plan to meet its Homeland Security responsibilities.

The goals of the plan focus on critical infrastructure protection; preparedness, response and recovery; communication and information; protection of EPA personnel and infrastructure; and the creation of a national decontamination team to provide expertise at the site of a chemical, biological or radiological attack.
