SIA's Executive Director Richard Chace opened the awards ceremony by lauding the security product manufacturing industry for making the selection process so difficult by continuing to produce excellent and innovative products.
The ISC EXPO/New York 2001 New Product Showcase winners are:
Achievement Award for Honorable Mention was given to Tellure Marketing and Distribution for its Raceway On-A-Roll.
Product Achievement Award for Access Control was given to Securitron Magnalock Corp., for its Mortise UnLatch Universal Electronic Strike for mortise locks.
Product Achievement Award for Biometrics was given to Bioscrypt Inc., for its V-Smart.
Product Achievement Award for CCTV was given to Crow Electronic Engineering Inc., for its MemoCam.
Product Achievement Award for False Alarm Reduction was given to Excelsus Technologies Inc., for its Excelsus Technologies Alarm Filter.
Product Achievement Award for Intrusion Detection/Prevention was given to Detection Systems for its DS720i Long Range TriTech PIR/Microwave Detector.
Product Achievement Award for Integrated Systems was given to Andover Controls for its Xpress DVR Integrated.
Product Achievement Award for Fire Detection/Prevention was given to Ademco Group for its 5800CKT Commercial Wireless Starter Kit.
Product Achievement Award for Monitoring was given to Numerex for its FastTrack Wireless Solution.
Judges' Choice Award for Residential Products was given to Interlogix for its Caddx NX-8E Control Panel.
Judges' Choice Award for Commercial Products was given to Fiber Options for its RingMaster S712D Universal Data System.
The Best-of-Show Award, titled the Innovation Award, was given to General Solutions for its DigiOp System 5000.
