Group 4 Falck, Securicor talking merger

Group 4 Falck A/S and Securicor PLC, two of the world's largest security companies, have confirmed they are in merger talks.
Under the envisioned "nil-premium" deal, a new U.K. company would be formed to acquire Securicor's shares and those of Group 4 Falck's security business, according to a statement issued by Sutton, England-based Securicor.
Group 4 Falck, Copenhagen, specializes in safety, alarm, guarding and cash services, while Securicor supplies private security guards, operates prisons and provides electronic inmate-tagging services.
