Pennsylvania brings public, private security together

Pennsylvania Office of Homeland Security Director Keith Martin last week convened more than 50 senior law enforcement and public and private security officers in Harrisburg to discuss enhancements in information sharing.
"This group will expand on existing relationships and bring new partners into the process," Martin says.
The Council of Law Enforcers and Professional Security received briefings from the Department of Homeland Security Operations Center, the FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Force, Secret Service, Coast Guard, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Intelligence Center (PACIC) and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA).
"Bringing security professionals from the public and private sectors together with our federal, state and local law enforcers tremendously increases our preventive and protective capabilities," Martin says.
