Fruitcake may be the gift that everyone gets and no one wants, and airport screeners in Canada would probably agree.


Fruitcakes have been added to the list of banned items for carry-on luggage because X-ray machines cannot see through the dense dessert, and screeners can't verify that the fruitcake is safe.
