SIA creates Homeland Security council

The Security Industry Association (SIA) has formed the SIA Homeland Security Advisory Council, chaired by Peter Michel, former CEO of Brinks Home Security. The council will have representatives from all of SIA's industry groups.
The purpose of the council is to provide pertinent information to the government and the nation and to assist member companies in dealing with public and private customers in the homeland security area.
The council will develop issue papers on topics including airport security, border security, Congressional response, information sharing, infrastructure security, risk assessment and identification and authentication.
