The VTT1000 adapter is a passive device that allows baseband video to be transmitted up to 1,200 feet over regular telephone wire. Unshielded twisted pair (UTP) wiring requires just two VTT1000 adapters. Common video sources such as NTSC, SEAM and PAL will travel safely and effectively over UTP, according to manufacturer VTTI, Sunrise Beach, Md. The adapter comes with a male BNC connector and two terminal screws. The male BNC allows the VTT1000 to be connected directly to the back of the source or destination equipment without a jumper cable.
