Supplier's SVR series of digital video recorders provides more than 30 days of digital recording and features removable HDD racks for “hot-swappable” back-up purposes. Units have eight levels of recording capability, a capacity of three self-contained HDDs, including one removable HDD. An external HDD bay is available for 10 additional HDDs. Each HDD has up to 120gB, or 1.56 tB.

Fiber optic transmission system

Virtual matrix switch

Fiber optic system is an 896-input or 102-output virtual matrix switch that provides a transmission system platform for video, audio and data communications. MPEG-2 compression encodes and decodes video and fiber optic transceivers. Each video input and output module provides support for audio, bi-directional data and two contact-closures that can be used for voice, PTZ control and alarm signal inputs.

Features: drop-and-insert capabilities, open software architecture and manufacturer-supplied PTZ control functions inserted into the system via the data input control port on any video output module.

Video transmission systems

Two transmission system models provide transmission capabilities for applications on both multimode and singlemode fiber cable. All models feature NTSC, RS-170, RS-343A and PAL compatibility and are designed for transparent operation with all camera and monitor manufacturers' equipment. The digital 940 Series transmits four channels of 10 Bit digital video on a multimode optical fiber at 1300 nm for 2 Km, while the digital 940SL series transmits four channels of 10 Bit digital video on a singlemode optical fiber at 1300 nm and features a 27 dB optical budget.

IP camera

Digital- and analog-compatible

System can be linked directly to a local ethernet network or to the Internet and simultaneously to an analog surveillance system via its video output connector. Camera supports network transmission using M-JPEG/HTML, thus allowing picture display and camera control through Web browsers as well as the H.323 video conferencing multimedia standard. Camera is used with supplier's software decoder. Integral motion detection establishes a network connection automatically and triggers an alarm.

High-speed color domes

Continuous pan rotation

Compact, 5-in. color domes incorporate 1/4-in. high CCD color cameras with DSP circuitry and deliver 470 lines of high-resolution images. Both models provide 360-degree continuous pan rotation at a travel speed from 0.1 degrees to 375 degrees per second with a 180-degree turnaround. Domes have 128 programmable pre-sets, and pan and tilt speed continually decreases in proportion to the depth of the zoom.

Features: supplier's ESD-300DR Day/Night dome features wide dynamic range and high sensitivity with a digital slow shutter and removable IR cut filters. The ESD-300S dome features a 22x optical zoom with a zoom speed of 3.9 to 6.3 seconds.
