Designed to work between analog CCTV systems and IP-based networked digital video, the recorder features field-upgradeable hard drives, PTZ controls, large storage capacities up to 2 TB, RAID 5 compatibility, plus simultaneous search, playback and backup capabilities. The server provides streaming video while cutting the bandwidth usage by about one-third of the normal amount of bandwidth required for 24/7 viewing over the network. It shrinks each digital image by changing the compression to create smaller files. Users can independently configure its transmission image resolution, bit rate and picture update rate. It features a spot monitor output to provide a visual deterrent that indicates a CCTV system, tamper-proof alarms and an improved audio setting.
