- Video Security Platform
For network video cameras
The Video Security over Internet Protocol (VSIP) development platform helps developers build intelligent security cameras that take advantage of a digital IP network. Digital technology enables audio-video data compression that minimizes transmission bandwidth and storage requirements and permits security cameras to operate on standard data networks without coaxial cables. The platform includes all the hardware, software and tools needed to create a fully digital system for the encoding and transmission of camera surveillance information. The DM642 board includes audio and video inputs and a camera sensor. Features: evaluation software includes object libraries for MPEG-4 video encoder and decoder, audio compression, RTP/RTSP video streaming and a PC display software.

CIRCLE #79 ON CARD - Digital Video Recorder
Stores 1 TB of video recording
The digital video recorder captures and archives more than 1 Terabyte (TB) — in excess of 1,000 GB — of continuous recordings. Record duration in NTSC format at 0.1 pictures-per-second with standard resolution is 25.4 years. At five pictures-per-second in high-resolution mode, the unit stores 2.75 months of video and, in standard resolution, stores 6.1 months of images. In PAL format, five pictures-per-second in high-resolution mode yields 2.3 months of video and, in standard resolution mode, stores 5.1 months of video.
Features: four internal hard drives; and storage capacities of 40, 80, 160, 320 and 640 GB.

Video Monitoring Software
Digital video management across any IP network
The video monitoring software is scalable from one to thousands of cameras. Distributed archiving on multiple storage servers allows for unlimited storage. Dual stream technology provides independence of storage and live display settings. Search capabilities are based on time-and-date, events, actions, bookmarks and motion. Recording options include scheduled time-and-date, on event and on motion.
Features: MPEG-4 compression; up to 30fps per camera; up to 32 simultaneous live cameras displayed on dual PC screens; more than 20 pan/tilt/zoom control protocols; and full duplex IP intercom.
